
Joan Jett (born Joan Marie Larkin on September 22, 1958) is a singer, guitarist, record producer, and actress from the United States. Jett is most known as the lead singer of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, as well as for co-founding and singing with the Runaways, with whom she recorded and released the hit “Cherry Bomb.”
In 1982, Jett’s version of “I Love Rock ‘n Roll” with The Blackhearts topped the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks.
