Jeffrey Warren Daniels, simply known as Jeff Daniels, is a famous American musician, actor, film director, playwright, as well as a screenwriter. Jeff Daniels is perhaps best known for his many television appearances, as well as on and off Broadway theatre productions, mainly “God of Carnage”, for which he received a nomination for Tony Award. Daniels is also a founder of the “Purple Rose Theatre Company”, a professional theatre company which offers theatre classes and apprentice programs for future actors, and stages various plays.
Currently, Jeff Daniels portrays the role of Will McAvoy in a political drama series “The Newsroom”, for which he was nominated for Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, as well as Primetime Emmy awards. The series starring Daniels, Emily Mortimer and Olivia Munn has so far aired two seasons and has been renewed for the third and final season to air in November 2014.
